Modified Desk Mic
This Shure 2L Prologue cardioid dynamic mic was rescued from a junk bin by the store manager and given to me as non-functional. Just made some wiring modifications including building in a panel mount mic jack, making a patch cable, and clipping it onto a RS desk mic stand. Now this "Blue Light Special" announcing mic is ready to serve in my ham shack as an excellent desk microphone. The voice quality is good... no more "Attention shoppers' for this modified ham radio desk mic.
The mic when I first used it.
It was just hard wired in and the juncture between cord and mic body just taped... rather crude.
And here as a boom mic using an adjustable task lamp arm that I modified.
