QRP Field Station
This is my "go bag" field station. All I need to do is to unplug my K2 from the op desk wiring, put it into the bag and it's ready to go. I usually also take along a telescoping fiberglass pole for the antenna support when trees may be scarce.
Here's the basics... Elecraft K2, HB sideswiper, ear buds, power cords, ZM-2 ATU, coax jumpers, 1/2" window-line, UnUn, battery checker, wire antennas, fuses.
And here's the kit stowed and ready to close the bag. Nice and snug and well padded for protection.
In the bag and ready to go. The bag is an old Dell computer carry bag I found at a local thrift store a few years ago. It measures 6" x 12" x 17" and fits nicely behind the seat in my pickup truck. Separate compartments with lots of room for additional 1/2" window line, coax, power cables, paper, pens, radio log, as well as the rest of the station seen above.
